Paddling around a lily-pad-filled lake looking for hippopotamuses. Unfortunately, they were all hiding, but our oarsman made me this beautiful flower crown and necklace and made me feel like a lake princess.
Hiking through the Pics du Sindou, a range of jagged peaks that spreads from the west of Burkina Faso all the way through Mali.
